Divorce Lawyer in Love Episode 7 Recap

Episode starts with Jung Woo running down the stairs and catching Cheok Hee as she enters the subway train. He’s really panting from running. He tells her not to go and then repeats it with more force. Min Kyu is a little annoyed. He asks what Jung Woo is doing. Cheok Hee asks him why. Jung Woo replies: Nan Joong Il Gi (diary of Korean Admiral Yi Sun Sin). Min Kyu looks at him like that was an insane thing to say. But Cheok Hee and I know what he’s talking about. He adds: egg rolls, peppermint candy. Cheok Hee is visibly moved.

Jung Woo looks up at her and the doors close. Jung Woo adds his last one: Go Cheok Hee. And again, he makes my heart hurt. He has to watch her ride away.

♬ That one day ♬

She doesn’t want to be riding away.

♬ The day when you came to me ♬

Inside the train, Cheok Hee asks Min Kyu if Jung Woo said something at the end.

♬ Your warmth ♬
♬ The day when it penetrated deep into my heart ♬

Min Kyu says he didn't catch it. I’m tempted to think that he’s not being honest here, even if he doesn’t understand what the list means. (For those of you who missed it, it’s a list of things that Jung Woo likes that helps him to walk again when life hurts so much that he can’t move. Cheok Hee is part of his list.)

♬ When time passes and fades ♬

Min Kyu tries to change the subject by asking if they’re allowed to sit in any seat.

♬ I wonder if I will forget ♬

It’s not working. Cheok Hee is looking back at where Jung Woo faded from view. Min Kyu walks her over to a seat to sit. And where did all these people come from.

♬ I wonder if I will forget ♬ ♬ The only thing that doesn't change is change itself ♬

They sit and Cheok Hee looks burdened. Min Kyu notices.

♬ I will believe in those words ♬

Back in the metro station, Jung Woo is trying to catch his breath and not freak out. He groans because the woman he is realizing that he loves is gone.

[Episode Seven: Trust is more important than the truth.]

Drama Fever interprets it as: Something that’s better than truth is faith. I wonder how that’s going to play out this episode.

Min Kyu and Cheok Hee have made it to the marina. Min Kyu is still trying to act like everything is normal, asking Cheok Hee whether it’s better to have wine or champagne with ossobuco. Cheok Hee’s mind is elsewhere: back with Jung Woo in the metro station. Min Kyu gets her attention and asks if she’s thinking about her client. Nice to give her an out, so she doesn’t have to say it. Cheok Hee replies that she’s thinking about Jung Woo. Didn’t get that hint. She wants to know why he would say not to go. Min Kyu says that it’s probably because of work. Although his micro-expression said he thinks otherwise. What is your game, Min Kyu? Now you’re acting like you actually like her. Cheok Hee loves to work more than anything else. Of course, Jung Woo would get angry. Cheok Hee wants to believe what she thinks she saw:

Cheok Hee submits that Jung Woo might have wanted to hold her back, so she doesn’t go. Min Kyu asks if she’s misreading Jung Woo’s actions again. After all, he *has* a girlfriend. Which Min Kyu knows is a total lie. What is he doing? Reminder of that obviously hurts Cheok Hee. Min Kyu adds that Jung Woo is the type that can't even watch strangers get a divorce, so would he leave his girlfriend and hold onto her? That’s just mean. Cheok Hee sighs because she knows he’s right. Even though he isn’t and he knows it. Min Kyu spots the yacht. He starts to walk to it when Cheok Hee declares that this won't do. She has to go. Cheok Hee starts to leave, but Min Kyu grabs her arm and tells her not to go. She looks at her arm where Min Kyu’s hand is with an expression that says ‘Why are you touching me? You are acting weird.’ Min Kyu drops his hand.

Min Kyu asks if Cheok Hee forgot: she’s his girlfriend. Cheok Hee protests that it’s fake. She calls him sunbae and repeats that it’s all fake. She adds that about this, she’s serious. Her heart, her feelings are all real. Wow, I didn’t expect her to realize where she was at so soon. Min Kyu asks her if she, perhaps… She smiles slightly and sighs: that’s right. She likes So Jung Woo. Min Kyu laughs with disbelief. Doesn’t she remember what So Jung Woo did to her, to try and get her to leave? She replies that that’s exactly the reason: A person who was like that was trying to hold onto her. He told her not to go. Now she’s making my heart hurt. That’s really sweet.

Min Kyu points out that if Cheok Hee goes, she’ll be making him into a fool in front of So Jung Woo. Cheok Hee declares that she’ll make it so that Min Kyu won't look bad. She adds that she won't misread anything and won't even show a hint of liking him. Even though he’s totally in love with you and doesn’t have a girlfriend! She tells her Sunbae that she has to go and then she leaves, not walking but running. Min Kyu sighs like he can’t believe she just ditched him. And then it ends on a look, where now I’m worried what he’s up to, because he’s crafty.

Jung Woo has arrived at the hospital. Lee Jae Gil is not in a private room, but he tries to get up from the bed he’s lying in to greet Jung Woo. Now he has a broken leg on top of everything else. Jung Woo is alarmed and asks what happens. Poor Jae Gil relates the story: that afternoon, he wanted to stay in by his wife insisted that they take a walk. Scene of them out for a walk. Wife is smiling happily. Suddenly, she lets go of the wheelchair handles. It’s almost as if the wheelchair did it by itself and wife yelps in shock. Jae Gil screams as he careens down a hill. Wife runs after him and he crashes. Jung Woo can’t believe it.

Jae Gil is practically crying as he declares that this is the third time, Lawyer! If this continues and he dies, is Jung Woo going to take responsibility? Jung Woo feels awkward. Jae Gil asks Jung Woo to meet with his wife and tell her about the divorce. Jung Woo sighs. He really doesn’t want to believe that Wife is trying to kill Jae Gil.

Jung Woo leaves the hospital room and spots Cheok Hee entering the hospital lobby. Shock. He immediately rushes to intercept her. They looks at each other and they both really try not to beam as they talk to each other. He looks so happy that she’s there as he asks how she came back. What about the yacht? And Lawyer Bong? By chance, did she leave Lawyer Bong and came to see him? Here is where you say yes, so that he thinks there’s hope that you might like him, because you *do.* Cheok Hee of course, doesn’t admit it such a “crazy” idea. She says that Min Kyu told her to go, so she came. Jung Woo asks what I’m thinking: why would Min Kyu do that? Cheok Hee replies that Min Kyu has such a wide, understanding heart. No matter how he saw it, he said that he was worried about sending Jung Woo alone, so right when the yacht was about to leave, he stopped it and told her to go.

Jung Woo is not smiling anymore. His face twitches, revealing that he feels very sad. He remarks that when he told her not to go, she left without turning back once. You missed what we saw. He asks if Cheok Hee does everything that Min Kyu tells her to do. Cheok Hee smiles slightly and says that she’s not usually a person who listens to others but it's weird that her body just moves because of a certain someone's words. Ow, that stings. Jung Woo looks like she should just kick him and get it over with. Even though we know that the ‘certain someone’ refers to HIM and not Min Kyu.

Jung Woo sighs and doesn’t meet her eyes as he says that he thought that perhaps she came because she heard the last thing that he said. He looks at the nails on his left hand like it’s become a very awkward conversation. Cheok Hee declares that she thought he said something at the end. He did, right? Jung Woo looks up at her, now with a glum expression. She asks what he said. He sighs and tells her: Never mind. It's not important. Then he starts to walk off.

Cheok Hee walks after him. She asks him what he said. He replies – like this whole thing is no big deal – that Cheok Hee told him to say the things he likes when his feet won't move. His face really looks like he is hating being in this conversation (because of his crushed heart). Cheok Hee names what she heard: Nan Joong Il Gi, egg rolls, and peppermint candy. Jung Woo is starting to look like he wants to hurt her for reminding him what an idiot he just was. She asks what came after that.

Jung Woo stops walking and sighs. He looks at her and says that there's something else. Something that won't leave his heart these days. His face! I’ll like you, Jung Woo! Cheok Hee thinks hard and declares that she remembers. But all she remembers is the ‘Go’ part. I can’t tell if Jung Woo’s face says that he wants her to realize he said her name or if he’s dreading it because he feels humiliated. Cheok Hee groans because she can’t remember any more. Jung Woo smiles slightly. His face reads, ‘of course you’re not going to get it, because you’re dating Min Kyu.’ She asks him what he said. Jung Woo changes the subject and says that they go see Lee Jae Gil's wife the next day at 10 AM. He starts walking again and Cheok Hee is really regretting not realizing what he said.

Min Kyu is at a bar, having a drink. He rubs his forehead like he can’t believe that Cheok Hee ran after Jung Woo and left *him.* Quite the conundrum. He calls someone and tells them to come find him. And it was Soo Ah. Of course, because she’s the girl you should date. She arrives at the bar and finds Min Kyu falling asleep in his stool. He groans and says that every time she came to find him, he felt like a high school student who ditched school. But today, it feels like he’s meeting his mother at the center for lost children. Aw. I’m really surprised that he’s bumming that much.

Soo Ah sits down and asks how much Min Kyu has had to drink, exactly. Min Kyu thanks her for coming to find him. Arms crossed, Soo Ah says that hearing ‘thank you’ from him makes her more fearful about what he'll say next. He cryptically says, “She says I'm fake. I'm fake and that jerk is real.” Well, you were the one who said that it was fake dating. I am shaking my head right now. And Jung Woo isn’t a jerk! Soo Ah sighs and asks what he’s talking about. Min Kyu says Go Cheok Hee’s name and says that she left. To that jerk, So Jung Woo. Not what Soo Ah wanted to hear.

Min Kyu looks over at her and declares that he sees that her feelings are real, too. Like you didn’t know that. She also asked him to hire So Jung Woo as a favor, and when she met with Go Cheok Hee, he thought something was weird. He nods, understanding now. Soo Ah doesn’t want to change the subject. She asks about Jung Woo. What about him?! Min Kyu declares that he doesn't know how Jung Woo feels. But... whether it was an accident or a mistake, if a man kisses a woman then there must be at least 1% of his real feelings there, don't Soo Ah think so? Soo Ah sighs, kicking herself, and asks if Cheok Hee and Jung Woo have already kissed. Min Kyu nods.

Soo Ah chugs his drink. Min Kyu nonchalantly orders another drink from the bar. Testily, Soo Ah asks him why he couldn't take care of his woman. She declares that she’s furious right now.

Cheok Hee arrives at the apartment building and rings Min Kyu’s bell. He doesn’t answer.

Jung Woo arrives home and Mom grumbles about Soo Ah not arriving yet. Jung Woo’s surprised. He tries calling her. But doesn’t leave a message. He waits for her down by the store.

Soo Ah comes stumbling home. He sees her and immediately asks what she was doing that he couldn't reach her. She laughs sarcastically at how ridiculous he is and then almost falls over. Jung Woo fans his face as he asks if she drank. She answers if she’s not allowed to drink. Jung Woo almost sheepishly replies that that’s not it. She should have called and told his her whereabouts. Soo Ah can’t believe him. It is a little weird. She points out that they aren’t related, so why should she? Even though I can kind of understand it, since he almost died in a subway bombing and spent a day in a coma, I can see where he’d worry some when someone doesn’t arrive home when they should. Jung Woo’s face says that he thinks she’s acting really weird. Soo Ah sighs and declares that she’s tired. They should talk the next day. She pulls her arm free and continues to walk home.

Min Kyu is back at his apartment. He’s called someone: Lee Ha Jung. She asks what the occasion is that Min Bong Kyu is calling her first. And there’s a Llardro in the background. We don’t’ see her face, but it’s obvious that it’s his fiancée. She’s with a man, how grabs her amorously and tells her to hang up. At least, she’s on the same page about their relationship. It’s a business merger, not love. The guy is Chinese and tells her that they should continue what they were doing. Min Kyu asks if she’s with a man. She laughs and tells him that he should meet some girls, too. At his age, if he’s sexually frustrated, there's no other answer.

Min Kyu asks her to do him a favor. Camera pans up to show her smiling mouth but no more of her face. We don’t hear the favor. She says that she just has to pretend that's how it is? It's been a long while since she’s had fun like that. So she’s just like Min Kyu: rich and bored.

CEO Aunt has gone over to visit Bong again. She says that Bong must have resolved the matter well, since they’re both sitting there now. Bong smiles and says that he might have not been successful at teaching that kid how he should use his head, but he taught Min Kyu properly about when he should bow his head. Heh. CEO Aunt’s phone rings. It’s Ha Jung calling. She asks Aunt if she told Min Kyu to fire the girl that's with him? Ha Jung says that she got caught with a man in a hotel by Min Kyu, so they decided to each let one go and call it even. Ha Jung says that she doesn’t want Bong to accidentally hear the rumor that his future daughter-in-law is sleeping with another man. If that kind of story got around, it would be impolite.

CEO Aunt half whispers, asking what Ha Jung is doing over there? Bong notices. Door knock and Min Kyu arrives. He’s all polite smiles. CEO Aunt hangs up with Ha Jung as Min Kyu sits. Bong asks if there’s a problem with Ha Jung. CEO Aunt lies and says that Ha Jung must have overdone her studying, but she's not feeling well. Min Kyu just sits there with a pleasant smile on his face. CEO Aunt smiles daggers at him as she says that she didn’t realize that he and Ha Jung were so close – even though they’re engaged – that they were chatting about every little thing. So everyone knows that this is a merger marriage! Min Kyu pleasantly replies that communication starts with conversation. They look at each other, Min Kyu’s smile more pleasant that CEO Aunt.

Bong asks Min Kyu if he’s fired Cheok Hee. Min Kyu’s smile stays fixed. He doesn’t answer. CEO Aunt announces that she’ll be leaving since she’s said all that she has to. (DF translates this as ‘I made it loud and clear’ – either way, it’s like Min Kyu is to cater to her whims, of course. Although it isn’t a whim. I can understand her anger over the death of her brother - *who killed himself*, not died accidentally, but who took his life. So Cheok Hee is getting the brunt of CEO Aunt’s anger towards not only Mi Ri but Dong Goo, because she is angry at her brother for killing himself, whether she realizes it or not.) CEO Aunt says that she’s sure that Lawyer Bong will have good judgment about everything else.

CEO Aunt pauses a moment and then tells Min Kyu that, now that she thinks about it, Min Kyu resembles his mother, a personality that takes care of the stray and hopeless that have nowhere to go. Same expression from Min Kyu. It’s his battle face. Pleasant, secure, unaffected. Min Kyu replies (expression not changing) that he’ll take it as a compliment that he doesn't resemble his father. Heh. And DF left the slam against Bong off. Thank you, Viki subs! CEO Aunt smiles and tells Bong that he’s mistaken. It seems that Min Kyu learned better how to use his head than when to bow it. CEO Aunt leaves. Bong looks at Min Kyu and asks what he did.

Switch to Jung Woo and Cheok Hee with Jae Gil’s wife. It looks like they own a food stand, a large one. They’ve told her than Jae Gil wants a divorce. JG Wife wants to know why on earth he wants one. Jung Woo and Cheok Hee look at each other. Cheok Hee mentions the car accident. JGW sighs. It’s about that again? She’s told him multiple times. That it was because of a dog. JGW says that she was rushing home because their child was sick. Suddenly, a dog – Viki translates it as poodle, but that wasn’t a poodle, it was some sort of terrier mix – runs out in front of the car. She swerved to miss it and had the accident. Jae Gil saying that she did it on purpose, but where on earth is there a woman who would deliberately try to hurt her husband?

Jung Woo mentions the accident that happened yesterday. JGW laughs is disbelief and holds up her bandaged wrist. She says that she hurt it on the day of the car accident. Her wrist was still weak and she lost her grip on the wheelchair handle on a sloping path. Cheok Hee pulls out the life insurance certificate. Is she going to say that this is also a coincidence? Why didn't she tell her husband? Calmly, with sincerity, JGW says that she bought it because a relative pleaded with her to buy insurance from him. She admits that it’s her fault for not telling Jae Gil, but it doesn't make sense to get a divorce because of it. Cheok Hee asks if they have a black box installed in the car. Nope. Sighs.

Soo Ah is stewing in her office. A sign on her desk tells her: be greedy, but don't covet. Enjoy, but don't obsess. She flips it onto the desk so she doesn’t have to look at it. Hye Rin enters with another settlement offer from Seoul Metro for Lee Kyung Hee. Oh, no. Soo Ah thinks about how Jung Woo said he would do anything not illegal if she can find Mystery Woman. She tells Hye Rin that she wants to track down a phone number. Hye Rin says that it will be expensive to do it quickly but Soo Ah will pay whatever, as long as they get it done as quickly as possible. She gives Hye Rin the phone number for the Peppermint Candy Witness.

Cheok Hee and Jung Woo have left JGW. Cheok Hee declares that it’s definitely a scam. Although I am not convinced. Jung Woo replies that they don't have any definite proof. Cheok Hee says that they are going to search for evidence right now.   Then she switches the subject back to what Jung Woo said in the subway. He asks why she’s curious. She replies that he knows that she can't keep still if she’s curious about something. It definitely started with a 'Go'. Did he say "Godeunguhjim (steamed mackerel)"? "Gorosoemul (water from trees)"? No, no. He said something like "Go chi (cocoon)" or "Go choo (pepper)". Wow, she is really ignoring the obvious: Go Cheok Hee. Jung Woo starts to squirm slightly. Cheok Hee declares: Gochoo naengi (Wasabi)! Jung Woo answers: Gochoo japchae (Peppery glass noodles)! Cheok Hee makes a face like that’s weird. He really can't get that out of his mind? He answers that it won't leave. It won't leave! And we know he means Cheok Hee, which makes me laugh.

Turbulence as Jung Woo accidentally drives quickly over a speed bump. He reaches over so that she isn’t jostles and apologizes for not seeing the bump. Aw. Looking out for her. Awkwardness and he pulls away his hand.

They arrive at the spot of the car accident. Cheok Hee looks around and spots something. It’s a camera at the bus stop. Took me a minute to figure out what she was pointing at. They go hunt down the CCTV footage. Guy says that the insurance company was by the day before and he’ll tell them the same thing: the hard drive in the CCTV broke, so it will probably take some time to recover it. Cheok Hee says that Devotion Life Insurance must have come by, but it’s not the life insurance company that came by. Oh, it doesn’t look good for wife. Cheok Hee and Jung Woo can’t believe that there’s more secret life insurance.

They head back out to the accident site and call Jae Gil. Is he there with his wife? He is. Cheok Hee tells him to just answer with ‘yes’ or ‘no.’ Did he know that he has insurance with Shared Life Insurance? He wasn’t. Suspicious reaction by wife. Although I still want to believe that this is a big misunderstanding. Another thought: the husband is framing the wife. Cheok Hee tells him to become a member of the Life Insurance Association so he can check to see what insurance policies are in his name, and then call her back. She hangs up and tells Jung Woo that he didn’t know. As they’re about to leave, a truck pulls up. Jung Woo runs up to the driver and asks if he parks his truck like that every day. The driver does. Jung Woo points to the truck’s black box and asks if he could check it for footage of the accident.

Min Kyu is at home, thinking about how Cheok Hee said that their relationship was fake. He’s annoyed that she likes Jung Woo (and apparently that she doesn’t like him). He really doesn’t want to do this. She looks at him like a big brother. If he goes there, it’s going to change things. She is not going to keep coming over and hanging out at your house, dude. And it’s not going to work, once she finds out that Jung Woo isn’t dating Soo Ah. And you knew.

Back to the office. Jung Woo and Cheok Hee checking out the footage. From the angle: no dog, just a swerving car. Jae Gil calls. Whoa! He says that there are over 20 policies that he didn’t know about. They total: 3,017,530,000 Won. Dang! That’s $2.7M! How on earth did these companies not realize that this was happening? Jung Woo winces when he hears the number. He hangs up and tells Cheok Hee. Cheok Hee is amazed and declares that JGW is seriously a weird woman! They look at the footage again.

Min Kyu arrives and is not happy to see Cheok Hee looking over Jung Woo’s shoulder at the laptop. He puts his game face on. Cheok Hee’s reaction as he enters is surprised. He declares that he figured that she’d be there. Cheok Hee tries to be chipper as she says, “You came?” Min Kyu looks at Jung Woo, who bows to him respectfully. Min Kyu declares that he’s come to take Cheok Hee to another place. Cheok Hee tells Jung Woo that they’ll talk about it tomorrow. So Jung Woo gets to watch Cheok Hee leave with Min Kyu *again.* Min Kyu makes sure to put his arm around Cheok Hee’s shoulder as they do. Jung Woo pounds his desk with both his fists, frustrated. He decides to head out after them.

He catches up to them in the parking garage. He stuffs his car keys in his pocket and runs up to them, asking for a ride. Min Kyu points out that Jung Woo’s car is right over there. Jung Woo nods and says tat he lost his car keys. Cheok Hee enthusiastically adds that Sunbae can drop him off on the way. Min Kyu can’t really argue without it being really suspicious.

Jung Woo and Min Kyu both open the car door for Cheok Hee. At least they’re both gentlemen. They look at each other and Jung Woo asks if the \back seat isn’t safer. Where you can sit next to her, of course, or at least she won’t be sitting next to Min Kyu. Min Kyu smiles and says that it might be that way in Jung Woo’s car, but in his car, all the seats are safe. His smile is cracking me up. Jung Woo thanks Min Kyu for that information, with a smile, and climbs into the front seat. Min Kyu shuts the car door and Jung Woo puts on his seat belt – to say that he’s not moving. Cheok Hee in the back seat. Hee.

Driving. Min Kyu asks if he can drop Jung Woo off somewhere. Jung Woo says that Min Kyu can drop him off in front of the villa. Min Kyu’s feeling less pleasant. He says that there’s a lot of traffic, so it would be better if Jung Woo got out there. Jung Woo replies that it’s hard to catch a ride here. It'll be better if Min Kyu drops him off there. Min Kyu mutters, “Crazy bastard.” Which makes me laugh. Jung Woo is really getting under his skin and being so polite about it. Cheok Hee can’t believe that just came out of Min Kyu’s mouth. He ‘apologizes’ and says that it's because a car pulled in front of him. Bastard. No one is buying that.

Jung Woo practically growls “Rotten jerk!” More shock from Cheok Hee. He says that it's because a motorcycle pulled in front of the car. Cheok Hee spots a taxi stand. Jung Woo could take that, right? Min Kyu thinks he can. Jung Woo grabs a hold of the seat belt like he’s holding on for dear life. Heh. Min Kyu pulls up behind the taxi. Jung Woo doesn’t hop right out. Min Kyu looks over at him meaningfully. Jung Woo avoids Min Kyu’s eyes and has to get out of the car. Cheok Hee climbs out, too, to get in the front seat. She tells Jung Woo to go. He replies that he’ll see her tomorrow. And it’s like there’s a hug hanging in the air. Cheok Hee climbs in the car and they drive away.

Back at Min Kyu’s, he declares forcefully to Cheok Hee that this chair is real calf leather. This is a real diamond watch. This is really my villa! Cheok Hee asks what he’s talking about. Instead of answering, Min Kyu says that when he was five years old, he had a pet chick named Yalli. He’s more traumatized now than when the chick died. How can Cheok Hee call him fake when he doesn't even put anything that's not real on his body? He grabs his clothes for emphasis. He is cracking me up.

Cheok Hee sighs and tells her Sunbae that that's not what she’s talking about! She tells him that she’s sorry about the day before but they should stop their fake relationship now. He replies that he wanted to say the same thing.   No matter how he looks at it, he doesn't suit anything fake. It doesn't feel right. Cheok Hee nods in agreement at that. So they should do it for real then.

Cheok Hee can’t believe that he just suggested that. He got way too much into acting. She can understand that he lost it a little because she said it was fake, but, he has a fiancée, remember? Min Kyu asks if that’s all he needs to do –break that off – to get her to agree. What? Is that all he has to resolve? Cheok Hee blinks a couple of time and asks him – reluctantly – if there’s any chance that he likes her. Min Kyu answers that he doesn’t know. What?! I sigh. He doesn’t know. Testily he repeats himself. He doesn’t know… what it feels like to like, what it feels like to be in love. He just wanted to live without knowing those things, but she keeps trying to tell him about it. Whether he likes her or dislikes her, and whether he wants to have her or steal her away... He’ll try to figure it out… So until then, he should stay his girlfriend, whether it's real or fake. Cheok Hee doesn’t know what to say.

Cheok Hee… I don’t know how I feel. I’m engaged but never spend time with my fiancée and most of the time act like she doesn’t exist. So you should fall for me and we should date. Um… No.

At home, Soo Ah is playing with her food rather than eating it. Mom asks what’s wrong. Soo Ah replies that she didn't say anything. Mom answers that Soo Ah didn't say it with her mouth, but Mom can see it in her eyes. Soo Ah is amazes that Mom knows her so well. The topic gets to the fool who doesn't know Soo Ah’s heart. Soo Ah says that she doesn't usually regret things, but she’s full of regret today. She should have lived her life being more obvious about everything. Mom raps her on the head with a spoon and says that that’s what she’s been saying from the beginning.

Soo Ah protests that she thought Jung Woo would come to her if she waited, and that if she liked him, he would figure it out. Mom asks if she should make it obvious by telling Jung Woo that Soo Ah paid so Jung Woo could go to law school. Soo Ah can’t believe that Mom is saying to hold onto a man with money! Mom replies that she thought that Soo Ah regretted it! Soo Ah sighs and says that it’s more like cheating on a test. Since she can't get the grade, maybe she should have at least cheated... That kind of regret.

Mom starts to scold Soo Ah. Is her job shabby, or her family shabby? Are her looks shabby? What is she lacking that she lives in misery because of a man? You tell her, Mom! Soo Ah frowns and says that she is, because the one who likes the other more is the one who's lacking.

Jung Woo arrives home and Mom stands up and kicks him in the butt. (Unprovoked.) He asks why she’s being like that. Legitimate question. Mom yells that it’s because she hates seeing his face! Soo Ah suppresses a smile. He looks over at Soo Ah and silently asks what Mom’s problem is, but she feigns ignorance.

They leave Mom at the house. Soo Ah apologizes about thee day before (when she was drunk and was rude). She was feeling a bit prickly. I love that she called it prickly! He waves the apology away and asks why she was drinking so much. Is there some problem at her company? Soo Ah replies that it's not a problem with work, but it's regarding a man. Clueless, Jung Woo smiles and asks if Soo Ah has someone that she likes, right? She nods. He sighs and says that something must not be working out well for her to drink that much. She admits that it’s not going well. And instead of taking Mom’s advice to be obvious, she says: Even though she’s liked him for a long time. He sighs, thinking about her problem.

Soo Ah ‘casually’ asks his whether he likes anyone: You don't have anybody you like? He smiles slightly and says that he does. Soo Ah asks what sort of woman she is. He sighs with regret and shakes his head with a small smile. He says that she’s someone else's woman. Does Soo Ah know that Min Kyu is saying that he’s dating Cheok Hee? I don’t think so, the way his answer really stung her. Jung Woo looks at his hand and say that while working at a divorce lawyer's office, the type of people he despised the most was the type who went after someone knowing that he or she belonged to another person. And now he’s like this. He smiles and sighs, amazed at himself.

Jung Woo says that he shouldn't be like this. Even knowing that she's someone else's, if he goes after her... He shouldn't do that, right? Awkward! Soo Ah tells him that they should both resolve the things that can't be and not drag them out any longer. She also did a lot of things that she regrets, but even if she could turn back time, she would probably do the same things because in the end, she’s still the same person. Jung Woo also is a person who can't do something he doesn't think is right. So he shouldn’t think about it too much and should just end it. Does that mean she’s going to stop waiting for him?

The office. Their schedule is full. Kyung marvels and says that Jung Woo’s smile must have impregnated all the ajummas. There are so many internet consultation requests coming up! Yoo Mi tells Cheok Hee to have her writer friend to make them a framed picture of the broadcast image, so they can hang it in the office. Cheok Hee likes that idea. She asks where Min Kyu is. Didn't he come to work today?

Min Kyu is sitting at home, in a bad mood. Dad arrives. Min Kyu groans and says that if Dad doesn’t want to use the doorbell, he should at least just tell Min Kyu to come see him. Dad should let him look at people's faces before he allows them into his house! Dad replies that when his door’s passcode for three years running is 1000, it’s hard to forget, especially when Min Kyu placed first in the 22nd class of the Korean Bar test takers. Dad flops an envelope in Min Kyu’s lap. The Korean Bar Association just made its nominations for The Young Lawyer Award. Min Kyu needs to fill out the forms so Dad can have them submitted. Min Kyu wants to know why he would qualify, since he didn't handle one trial hearing entering into 2015.

Dad sits and says that this is why he’s there, to teach Min Kyu the shortcuts to take. Just what Min Kyu wants, to be crooked like his old man. Min Kyu looks at the envelope and then asks Bong if he knows how flowers are sold? Dad asks if it’s one at a time? Or by the box? Min Kyu answers that he realized that he hadn't received a proper education at home after Mother passed away. Dad adjusts his glasses, uncomfortable. Min Kyu tosses the envelope onto the coffee table and says that instead of teaching him to cut corners, Dad should have taught him that kind of thing. How to buy flowers, how to date, how to love. Dad is uncomfortable.

Cheok Hee’s gone over to see her television friend. Friend has frames that smile of Jung Woo with the dog, the one with the caption about being able to get girls pregnant just by smiling their way. What an odd expression. They used it earlier, too, right after the time jump. Cheok Hee thanks her. Joon Hee wants Jung Woo to appear at least one more time. Cheok Hee replies that Jung Woo is naturally so shy.

Cheok Hee asks about Mi Ri’s drama, ‘The Secret of a Woman.’ It films there, right? Yes, in Studio A. Cheok Hee decides to drop by. Mi Ri sees her and asks if this is déjà vu. Three years ago, it also was her who opened the door and came into her ready room (green room). Mi Ri remembers, then? That’s why Cheok Hee’s there. Three years ago, in ‘The Honest Woman's ready room, Mr. Jo Yoo Sang was together with her, the day that Mi Ri’s husband, Ma Dong Goo, committed suicide. So what? But Mr. Jo Yoo Sang had never even appeared in that drama.

Mi Ri stifles a laugh and says that she thought it was something important. She starts working on her make up again. Mi Ri says that Jo Yoo Sang had a small disagreement with the director so he only filmed one episode and stopped, and the actor was replaced. Cheok Hee stifles a smile of her own. Mi Ri rolls her eyes and tells her secretary that he should give Cheok Hee Director Choi's phone number, since it’s excessive to ask Cheok Hee to believe her words.

Cheok Hee pulls out her phone, pulls up those pictures she took and asks, “Then what about this?” They said on that interview that Joo Yoo Sang can't even meet her eyes, so how did this happen? Secretary leaves. Mi Ri tries to act like this isn’t a smoking gun. She says that Cheok Hee seems to not know very much about method acting. Actors act like it's the real thing when they immerse ourselves in a role. They eat meals together like a real couple and hold hands… and if needed, even physical intimacy. Yeah, because you’re ‘method acting.’ Like the netizens are going to believe that. How does Cheok Hee *not* know that Mi Ri’s bluffing? I don’t live in Korea and even I know that. Mi Ri stands and tells Cheok Hee to bring proper information next time. Since she’s already writing a novel, she should at least do it so that the reader can find it interesting. Mi Ri strolls out like she doesn’t have a care in the world. However… once she’s out of earshot she gives old Yoo Sang a call.

Soo Ah has tracked down Peppermint Guy. I like the plaid shirt he’s wearing. He asks how she knew to come there. She apologizes, but because he kept avoiding her calls, she had someone find out. PG apologizes. His wife doesn't have a normal temperament. She raised such a ruckus over him meddling in other people's business. As it is, because of having to close out their store, her nerves are on edge. Soo Ah says that she understands. She gets back to her question: On the day of the subway accident, he saw that lady, right? He did.

Flashback to the metro train. He was fighting with his wife on the phone. They’re arguing over money. He’s quite loud. He notices the red ribbons on the woman’s heels. More arguing about the neighborhood harpies, shabu shabu for lunch all the time! We see him and her legs, but her body and face are blocked by a guy in jeans and a sweatshirt. Cheapskate? As if! Who should be calling who? Fine! Let's get a divorce! A divorce! He hangs up and Mystery Woman hands him her card. That lady was a lawyer? Oh, please don’t make it Cheok Hee. That will be annoying, especially since she didn’t recognize the candy. And surely, she would have eaten it at least once in the three years that Jung Woo worked for her that he would have noticed.

By any chance, does he still have that business card? PG can’t believe that she even asked. He doesn't even remember where it is. Soo Ah asks for him to look for it at least once. She offers an envelope of money and says that if he finds it, she will pay him more. After looking at the wad of cash, that gets him motivated.

Jung Woo and Cheok Hee are meeting with JGW. They have his divorce petition. JGW can’t believe it. What has she done wrong? Cheok Hee marvels at how dignified and confident she’s acting. Cheok Hee rattles off their evidence: the blackbox, taking out insurance policies, and the marriage license. They’ve found a lot of evidence regarding her, Goo Ae Ra. JGW asks what kind of evidence is needed when it concerns a person's heart. Cheok Hee responds that in law, evidence is the reality and reality is, in the end, the truth. Uh oh – that’s what got you in trouble last time, playing that card. JGW gets upset and asks what they know. What do they know about the relationship between a married couple?! She storms off.

Jung Woo worries that they might be wrong. Because he’s a softie. Cheok Hee asks if he’s still doubtful even after confirming all the evidence? Jung Woo answers that, like JGW said, a person's heart can't be known with evidence. Which totally applies to both of them! The other has all this evidence which is wrong. The title for tonight’s episode: Trust is more important than the truth. I wonder how that applies to this. Cheok Hee asks what Jung Woo’s going to do if Jae Gil gets hurt because he’s thinking that way. Then what’s he going to do about it?

Back at the office, Kyung is chugging a drink in the breakroom. Cheok Hee sees him and asks him what’s wrong. He declares that he’s nervous. She asks what he has to be nervous about. He replies that he has to say something to someone... He glances over to the working Yoo Mi and groans that he’s going crazy! Cheok Hee tsks at him and tells him that he should at least get his money’s worth from his classes with Cerebral Breath. Three, three, three, breathe. Doesn't he remember what he learned? Kyung blanks. Cheok Hee illustrates and he starts to try, but then sees Yoo Mi leaving, so he takes off after her.

Outside, he chases her down and asks if they could go somewhere, mix a drink, and talk… A guy in a car drives up. Yoo Mi runs over to him and calls him Oppa. She turns around and asks him what he was saying, but he chickens out. She hops in the car as Kyung covers his mouth like he’s trying not to be sick. As they drive off, Kyung kicks his bag in frustration.

Inside, Jung Woo practicing arguing Jae Gil’s case. Cheok Hee is at her desk working. She smiles and decides to move closer to spy on him.

After looking at everything that happened the past year, the plaintiff if she continues to stay married to the defendant... She didn't only give unendurable suffering to the plaintiff... unendurable... suffering only...

She laughs at how cute he is and knocks on the door. He clears his throat as she enters. She says that she’s going home. Meekly he tells her to go. She asks if he’s planning on wearing that suit tomorrow. He smiles and says that he is. She tells him that everyone will be wearing grey in the courtroom, so if he wears that he’ll be super eye catching, which will be great. He looks down at his tie. She tells him to wear a red one. For a rational kid like him, a red one would suit you better. It’s the symbol of courage. Fighting hand gesture. Why else does he think a matador waves a red flag? ‘Everyone, come at me.’ That's their mentality. Jung Woo nods. Is that how it is?

Cheok Hee steps closer to him. Please let them kiss! She smiles and asks if he’s filming a movie? In an actual court room, there's no one with such a loud voice. Instead the judge will give him a warning about being too loud. Jung Woo replies that it’s because he’s nervous. So he’s shouting on purpose. Cheok Hee references the ‘three, three, three, breathe.’ Doesn't he know it? She tells him to hold his hands and breathe 3 times, hold his arms and breathe 3 times, hold his waist and breathe 3 times.

Jung Woo takes her hands in his, closes his eyes and breathes.

♬ It's high time we were having some fun ♬

Cheok Hee can’t believe he's holding her hand. But she doesn’t pull hers away. She just looks at him. His eyes are closed.

♬ It's time to be myself, it's time to be yourself ♬

Still with closed eyes, he pulls her to stand arm in arm with him. Cheok Hee is freaking out. Because she likes him and he has a girlfriend – even though he doesn’t. Jung Woo puts his hand on his heart and breathes.

♬ It's the right time to fall in love. ♬

Jung Woo wraps his arms around her waist. Woman, if this isn’t a sign that he likes you, then you need to get a clue. Still eyes closed, he breathes. And it’s really sweet that Cheok Hee is the think that helps him calm down.

♬ Where do we go from here? ♬

Cheok Hee doesn’t know what to do.

♬ You can close your eyes, to see the world ♬ ♬ That I will bring out ♬

Jung Woo opens his eyes and announces that he’s still nervous. He doesn’t let go of her. And I would be struggling if I were her, because he has a girlfriend! Cheok Hee sputters that she has to leave. She pulls away. He calls after her that the trial is at 10 am. Tomorrow. She makes a face because she wants to go but turns around and says that she can't go. Sad puppy Jung Woo asks why she can’t. Did he not see how the office is backed up because of his pregnant smile? He tells her to still come since it's his first case with my lawyer pin on. She replies that she can't go. He almost yells at her to just come! Seriously!

Cheok Hee huffs at him, ‘offended.’ Now that he’s a lawyer, he’s even talking informally! He awkwardly scratches his neck. She tells him that if he grew out of his diapers, he needs to now learn to walk by himself. He glares at her and says that she really doesn't listen. She tells him to do well, and not to embarrass the office. She walks out of his office and shuts the door behind her. Jung Woo holds up his thumb and index so that they’re her height and asks how someone only this big, why she can't be held? Heh. That’s really sweet.

Next day, Cheok Hee is walking with Kyung. He asks if she’s really not going to see Jung Woo Hyung's first trial. She replies that even Mozart got the cramps in his fingers when playing in front of his family. If he sees a familiar face, he might get nervous. Kyung agrees. If Kyung saw her during a trial... even he would convulse. Cheok Hee stops in front of a boutique. The mannequin in the window is wearing a red tie. She wonders if Jung Woo wore his necktie properly? Kyung hasn’t noticed that she’s stopped walking. He says that who knows, it might even be of more help to him for her to support him in her heart like that, Office Manager. Isn't that so? He notices that she’s not there and actually, she’s not anywhere in sight. Kyung groans. Seriously!

Cheok Hee has bought the tie and has run over to the court house. Jung Woo is there, wearing grey and a blue tie. Exactly the opposite of what she told him to wear. Doh! She isn’t even mad. She starts to go over to him when Soo Ah walks into view. Cheok Hee stops as Soo Ah straightens his ties. She hides the tie. Jung Woo spots her and is really happy that she came. Soo Ah isn’t so happy that Cheok Hee is there.

Cheok Hee walks over to them, now feeling really awkward. Jung Woo tells her that it's a good thing she came. She recovers and says that looking at him yesterday, she was so worried that she couldn't not come. Soo Ah tells Jung Woo that represents the blue-chip stocks (good stocks) in the stock market. Now that he’s wearing blue, it will definitely work its magic in court as well. It's pretty. Cheok Hee looks at the tie and feels bad that he’s not her boyfriend.

In the courtroom, Cheok Hee and Soo Ah are sitting on opposite sides of the aisle. Soo Ah remarks that blue looks good on Jung Woo. He’s liked blue ever since he was young. Even with the crayons, the blue ones would wear out first. Cheok Hee sighs and says that she wondered why he looked so pale today. Oh, it's because he wore blue. She sighs and says that the red goes better than the blue with Lawyer So's cool complexion. Jung Woo turns around and gives them the Fighting gesture. They both wave.

Trial starts. Jung Woo is obviously nervous. And hopefully it will work out like the TV show. He stands up and bows to the judge. The judge tells Jung Woo that it’s okay to not greet him. Jung Woo apologizes. The judge tells him to sit. Jung Woo slaps himself in the face and calls himself an idiot. Cheok Hee cringes. And I have to laugh. He is being such a dork! Judge tells him to sit again! Jung Woo finally does.

JGW hasn’t brought a lawyer. Judge says that the plantiff’s reason listed for divorce is that he feels physically in danger from the defendant. Jung Woo stands and says that, as the judge can see, the plaintiff has consecutively experienced life-threatening accidents, all caused by the defendant. Judge lists off the injuries and asks if JGW also caused the car accident. Again JGW says that there was a dog. Jung Woo raises his hand and mentions Exhibit A: The black box from a car near the scene of the accident. The caption defines what that means for the audience. They dim the lights and play the video. Jung Woo has them pause the video. He says that as they can see, after verifying the video, there was no dog that the defendant has claimed to have seen. Wife hangs her head some.

Jung Woo continues to the life insurance policies. Cheok Hee is smiling because he’s doing good. He is starting to get his groove. Hehe. Judge looks at them and the amount. When Jung Woo announces that they’re worth more than 3 billion won, there is talking in the courtroom. The judge calls for order. Judge asks why JGW bought that much. She can’t answer. She looks like she’s about to cry.

Jung Woo moves on to JGW’s previous marriage, which was never disclosed to Jae Gil. JGW answers that Jae Gil already knew she was once married. When judge asks, Jae Gil says that his son is from JGW’s previous marriage. Jung Woo cites Exhibit B. Judge looks and says to JGW, that she hasn’t been married just once. Shocked look from Jae Gil. Jung Woo approaches and says that this is her 3rd marriage. He continues that the reason for remarriage was not what she told Lee Jae Gil, because of divorce. JGW’s first and second husband, both died from accidents.

It takes a minute for it to sink in. Jae Gil screams at JGW that she’s a MURDERER! He gets up to go hit her, but Jung Woo stops him. Softly, JGW says that she’ll do it. Blinking away the tears, she sighs loudly and says that she’ll do it, agree to the divorce. Jung Woo’s a little surprised. Jae Gil laughs sadly.

After the trial, JGW tells them that she’ll cancel all of the insurance policies the next day and she will empty her stuff from the house and store by today. Not looking at her, Jae Gil tells her to do that. He’ll be at his sister's. Her face is almost begging him not to leave. JGW leaves them after bowing. Cheok Hee is a little confused at her behavior. Jae Gil leaves, too. Jung Woo is also bothered.

Soo Ah cheerfully walks up and tells Jung Woo that they should go. It's his first trial, so they should go eat. Jung Woo wants to have Cheok Hee come, but she cuts him off, saying that she has a lunch appointment. She looks at her watch and says that she's going to be late now. She quickly goes before he can argue. Jung Woo just watches her go. Cheok Hee stops and turns to watch him go. He looks back at her. She mouths that he did well and gives him a thumb’s up.

Cheok Hee is meeting no one. She’s got some store bought ramen. She is talking to herself. “Just what do I lack when compared to Jo Soo Ah? Huh? Am I older than her?” Cheok Hee nods sadly and says that she is. Is she short? Again, she sighs because she is short. Does she have a bad personality? Cheok Hee makes a face and declares that it's the worst, the worst. She rips the chopsticks off the ramen bowl and tells herself that there’s really not even a single good point!

Cheok Hee thinks about what happened in court again. She calls the guy with the CCTV footage. He says that he was about to contact you. They've recovered it. Cheok Hee is so excited that she rushes off without eating.

Jung Woo is pensive as he walks with Soo Ah. She is, of course, being bright and cheerful. Shall they eat udon or Korean food? He’s thinking about the court case, too. Something’s off for him, too. He tells her that they’ll eat next time, apologizes and runs off. And he can run, too. Well, really well.

Cheok Hee arrives at the place with the CCTV, just as Jung Woo drives up in his car. They’re surprised to see each other. Guy brings the flash drive with the footage. They pull it up on Jung Woo’s laptop. There *was* a dog. They think what to do to fix things. Cheok Hee tells Jung Woo to go to the store first and keep JGW from leaving. He agrees and tells Cheok Hee to take a copy of the video, go to Lee Jae Gil and then come to the store with him. He leaves in his car. As Cheok Hee goes to copy the footage, she sees JGW stumble out of the car, like she’s trying to reach her husband to help him.

Cheok Hee is with Jae Gil now. He asks why she’s there. She asks him if he knows how he survived the accident. He doesn’t remember. When he opened his eyes, he was already at the hospital. She shows him what happened: JGW stumbled over to Jae Gil’s side of the car, but the door wouldn’t open. She grabs a rock and tries to break the window – which is when she hurt her wrist. She’s eventually able to get the car door open and pull him out. Jae Gil starts to cry as he watches her save his life.

Jung Woo arrives at the shop, where wife is cleaning up her things. She wants to know why he’s there, since she already said she would get a divorce. He tells her that he saw the CCTV at the scene of the accident and there was a dog. She asks why it matters. Whether there was a dog or not, she’s already a murderer to her husband. Everything that was said in court today, they're right. About this being my third marriage, she deceived him about it. She sighs and asks what kind of luck is this? Her first and second husband... Both of them left the world due to accidents. She’s bitter over the fact that her second husband died because they didn’t have the money to pay for his surgery. So, ever since she married Jae Gil, she would buy insurance policies whenever a scary incident occurred.

Jung Woo winces. He tells JGW that if she only had said the truth in court, Jae Gil would have resolved all the misunderstandings he had with her and understood. JGW asks what’s so important about the truth. She’s already a murderer in her husband's eyes. It already hurts when he looks at her like that. How could she I live her whole life with him, with a husband who thinks she’s a murderer? They said it already. Evidence is the reality, and reality is, in the end, the truth. But between a couple, there's something more important than truth. It's trust. JGW is blinking away tears again.

Jae Gil has arrived and overheard everything. He calls JGW ‘Yeobo’ (honey). He asks her if what she’s just said, if it’s all true. She answers, asking him if it's the truth, will he trust her this time? She apologizes for not saying it first. He might misunderstand her so she hid it without telling him. Instead, she made rather a big misunderstanding. Right? She smiles sadly, puts her suitcase on the ground and starts to leave. He grabs her arm to stop her.

Soo Ah’s office. Important phone call. Guy found the business card. Don’t be Cheok Hee’s card. Don’t be Cheok Hee’s card. How does it make sense that she doesn’t have any traumatic stress if it was her in the shoes? Soo Ah looks at the card. I can’t believe they did it! The card is Cheok Hee’s business card. Soo Ah almost falls over. What is she going to do now?

At Min Kyu’s, she silently sits, looking at the card. Min Kyu asks why she’s there. Min Kyu arrives with the tea. He asks if she came to find him or did she need him. Soo Ah looks like she’s about to cry. She asks him to please stop her. Be greedy, but don't covet. Enjoy, but don't obsess. That's her motto. She hates how people become pathetic because of love. Min Kyu asks if she thinks she’s going to become pathetic. She’s Jo Soo Ah, the Queen of Law School from Chung Sung University and a lawyer of the grand BF Law Firm. If she and So Jung Woo work out, it will be better for him.

Min Kyu tells her that whether it's her face or heart, being pathetic doesn't suit her. He’s already started on that, so not her, too. Soo Ah sighs and looks at the card. She nods and says that he’s right. No matter how unfortunate, she should not cheat in life. She should not act like she has not seen, when she has. That... would be what that person would like from a woman.

Jung Woo and Cheok Hee are walking. She asks if he thinks that Jae Gil and JGW will be able live well like they used before? He tells her that she’s changed. Because of you. Hee. She once said that when one person ends their love, that's when it ends. Now she stopped someone from getting a divorce. And she’s even worrying about them. She suppresses a smile and says that she thought if one side ended it, then love would end. But she realized that if one side has not ended it, then that's love, too. She sighs and says that she thinks she’s going to do something that she’ll really regret. But she isn’t sure… So what if she regrets it? She pulls out the tie box and holds it out to him. He’s surprised when he opens it.

Cheok Hee admits that she actually wanted to give it to him before the trial. He tells her that she should have given it to him, then! He would have worn it. She tells him that his girlfriend already gave him a better one. Jung Woo looks at her. Girlfriend? He realizes that she means Soo Ah. He tries not to laugh and says that she’s not his girlfriend. Cheok Hee mentions her coming out of his house. He chuckles and says that they do live together but she's not his girlfriend. Rather his mother's friend's daughter. They live together because their mothers are friends. Cheok Hee tries to be casual as she nods and says, “Oh, that's how it is?” Inside, you know that she’s turning cartwheels.

They look at each other. Jung Woo breathes in some courage, shakes his head slightly as he tells himself that he’s crazy. He says that red is the color of courage, right? She nods. He rips off the blue ties and asks her to put the red tie on him. Right there and now. Cheok Hee is a little nervous, but she steps forward and does it. Jung Woo tries to act like it doesn’t affect him. He looks down at her as she does the tie. She steps back and declares that it’s all done.

Jung Woo breathes and says that what she said is right. Now that he’s wearing red, reason disappears and only courage remains. Eee! I think he’s going to declare it! She smiles, pleased that he took her words to heart. Jung Woo says her name and tells her not to let his words pass by, not to let go of them, and to listen carefully. What he said at the end in the subway station, the one he likes more than Nan Joong Il Gi, what he likes more than egg rolls – he takes a step forward – and the thing that isn't leaving his heart these days… Go Cheok Hee.

She doesn’t get it. He says her name again. He starts to tell her but they’re interrupted by Soo Ah. And I wave my fists in frustration. No! She notices that he’s not wearing her tie. It stings. She crumples up the business card in her hand. Episode ends.

Thoughts

I really like the way Jung Woo used who she is as part of his saying that he loves her. More than once. The whole breathing thing, where he was using her as his center… how her red tie gave his the courage to declare that she was his happy thought. I have a big stupid grin on my face.

On the flip side, I am wanting to slap both Soo Ah and Min Kyu. Both of them are being selfish. It is not going to work out well for either of them. Min Kyu is in ‘something’ and so he’s actively lying and manipulating to get what he wants. And he still has a fiancée, who isn’t in love with him, either. Why would Cheok Hee go for him when he’s engaged? Even if she was going to be interested, which she isn’t, she wouldn’t be, because he is. Then there’s Soo Ah, who knows that Jung Woo doesn’t like her and that he’s dying to find out who Mystery Woman is, and what does she do? Find out that it’s Cheok Hee and decide not to tell him. If she keeps going like this, she is going to hate herself. Hopefully, she cracks first.

I’m a little annoyed that the writers made Mystery Woman be Cheok Hee. Why couldn’t it be someone else? And how does that make sense? Why was Jung Woo so traumatized by the accident, but Cheok Hee has no problem riding the metro? And why would her sister Mi Hee not let go of things after her sister almost died in subway bombing? Now that I’m thinking about it, I’m actually wondering if they are faking us out. Mystery Woman isn’t really Cheok Hee, just someone with Cheok Hee’s card, and she’s someone else entirely. I really hope that this is a red herring.

A little bit of Mi Ri-Cheok Hee action. Mi Ri is another enigma for me. The writers keep having her do things that contradict. Like Snape in the ‘Harry Potter’ books, where there was a question of whether he was good or evil throughout the entire series of seven books. I knew Snape was good. I was sure of it, no matter how bad he might seem, and I was really happy to find out that my hope was right. I’m really wondering about Mi Ri, though. The jury’s still out.

But it’s not out on how annoyed I feel about how the writers are keeping our OTP apart. It’s not even that the second leads are evil people, they just are being almost manufactures roadblocks for our couple. I really hope that this plotting by Soo Ah and Min Kyu doesn’t go on for too much longer. At least Cheok Hee can now bust Min Kyu for lying about them dating. I just want to groan. Why torture us, so? Why can’t we have the fun of Jung Woo and Cheok Hee together? There’s enough other stuff for drama: divorce cases, CEO Aunt, Mi Ri’s deceit, Bong’s threats, Mi Hee. We don’t’ need to stupid interference. Plus, Soo Ah and Min Kyu would be much better together. I really can’t see Jung Woo with Soo Ah, even if Cheok Hee wasn’t in the picture. She’s too much his little sister and she never gives him a hard time about things. Too nice and not challenging enough.

Mom needs to meet Cheok Hee and see Jung Woo with her. She’d get what the deal is and could get this romance moving in the right direction. Even though Mom doesn’t like Cheok Hee because of the seaweed incident. I almost forgot about that one. But Cheok Hee looks very different now, so maybe Mom won’t realize who she is at first. Cheok Hee is going to have to grovel, but I think if she does, Mom could be persuaded. Mom kicking Jung Woo’s butt still cracks me up. I like that Mom is a firecracker. Like Cheok Hee. Hmmm.

I wonder how much longer Jung Woo is going to stay oblivious to Soo Ah’s feelings. I am looking forward to and dreading that conversation. It’s going to be painful. It’s not going to make him like her, just make him feel bad.
‘Why isn’t it me?!’
‘I’m sorry, Soo Ah. It just isn’t. You’re like a sister.’
‘But why? Why?!’
Oi. That’s going to hurt.

I was just looking through the episode and something just hit me. What if Mystery Woman was Min Kyu’s fiancée? Although why she would be on the subway. But MW had really long legs and wore stilettos. Cheok Hee does not have long legs and wears high pumps. That would be a twist. And I would respect the writers more for that one. Especially since we haven’t see fiancee’s face yet and they are purposely hiding MW’s face. I want that to be the twist!!!

I mentioned how I thought CEO Aunt was angry at her brother. It’s very common with suicides. The family loses someone. It’s never expected and all you’re left with is a gaping hole. And it’s the fault of the person that is dead. Whether they’re in touch with it or not, people feel angry. It’s a common reaction when someone doesn’t take their life but dies unexpectedly. Anger at the person for leaving. And CEO Aunt has lots of wrath because Dong Goo was shamed in court and then took the cowardly way out. And suicide is the cowardly way out. Not to fight another day, even if it does feel like your soul is being sucked out of your chest and you just want the pain to stop. It’s the cowardly way out. Especially because other people have lived through it and not run away. If my opinion offends, it stems from knowing several people who have lost loved ones to suicide. Every person left behind is burdened with ‘what could I have done so that XXX wouldn’t have done that? If XXX had just said something, I would have done something…’

On to Episode Eight!

  1. Hi. Do you know the title and singer of the song where jungwoo hugged cheok hee in the office?

"it's time to be myself, it's time to be yourself.
It's the right time to fall in love.
Where do we go from here here.
You can close your eyes to see the world that i will bring out"
